MacCon Public Safety members are initially trained through a combination of lecture, online and field training consisting of over 100 hours. We offer approximately 360 additional training hours and another 170 optional training hours through an employees tenure to  support  their ongoing professional development. Employees must maintain certifications of which some expire. The MacCon Public Safety Training Unit is mandated to minimize skill deterioration by providing ongoing, relevant, scenario based training, to re-enforce skill sets that are perishable in nature.
