The Bike Unit was implemented to increase visibility and increase response time to incidents. All members of the Bike Unit are trained and certified through the Law Enforcement Bicycle Association, which teaches Law Enforcement agencies all over the world. We currently utilize “Trek Police edition” bikes for regular duties, and two fat tire bikes for any winter activities. The Bike Unit operates year round, no matter the conditions. 

The Bike Unit has two divisions, Security and Medical. All Bike Unit Medical staff are registered through the Alberta College of Paramedics, Medical staff carry a large amount of equipment with them to quickly respond to any medical emergencies.
